The city of 3 x CACIB Dog Show is city of Komárom, a high-traffic border town and a cultural and tourist center. To Komárom has nearly 20,000 inhabitants. The life of the environs was organized around the fortress system of Komárom. The Trianon Peace Treaty reorganized the boundaries of the city alongside the change of country border. Thus, one half of the city are located in the border of Hungary and the other part is still in Slovakia.

The major tourist attraction of the city is the fort system of Komárom, the Hungarian members of which are the fortress of Monostor, the fortress of Igmand and the fortress of Star. The fort Monostor also serves – as the venue for the international dog show – the largest modern fortress in Central Europe, built between 1850 and 1871. Its military function has long since ceased, is nowadays a tourist attraction and the venue for various programs.
