The Norwegian Kennel Club was founded in 1898 and it is the largest club of dog owners. Currently, about 225 different clubs operate with 75,000 members divided into 13 regions, and more than 30,000 puppies are registered annually. They keep records of confirmed dysplasia, elbow evaluations, and numerous other health screening results and also operate a youth section under the name NKKU. The Kennel Club headquarters is located in Oslo, where 35 employees support the administration of the Kennel Club. The Norwegian Kennel Club has been a member of the FCI since 1935. Despite never having had the honor to host a high-standard European or World Dog Show, Finland has a great tradition of organizing dog shows. As early as 1936, they were hosts of the first International FCI Show. They have hosted 11 international shows, welcoming about 28,000 dogs annually. Their various member associations also register an additional 67,000 dog entries. The Kennel Club works with 160 licensed international conformation judges and their work is supported by 280 trained personnel in the rings.
The distribution of the Euro Dog Show judging by breed groups is as follows:

Norway is the land of the midnight sun, with pleasant and mild weather during the summer season thanks to the Gulf Stream. The Euro Dog Show takes place between September 04 and 06. During this period, the temperature is usually very pleasant in Oslo, although the air can still be quite sharp in the evening. Oslo, the capital of Norway, is located in a beautiful place, between the captivating Oslo Fjord and the Oslomarka forest. This combination makes it a great place for every visitor and traveler, as it combines urban life with outdoor activities. Norway's majestic mountains with waters rushing into the sea, the sparkling fjords, the northern lights, the midnight sun, and the high mountain peaks have all contributed to Norway being well known internationally. The Norwegian people and foreign guests visiting here highly appreciate Norway's treasures, including the endless rivers, the massive waterfalls, the green forests, and Norway's vibrant city life. If you are in Oslo, you can visit 50 museums and numerous art galleries, including the internationally renowned attractions such as the Vigeland Sculpture Park, the Viking Ship Museum, the Munch Museum, and Holmenkollen.
