The World Dog Show is the highlight of dog shows every year. This exhibition is the world's largest dog show, where the World's Most Beautiful Dog is selected on the last day. In 2014, the Finnish Kennel Club had the honor of hosting the world's largest dog event, the World Exhibition.

The Finnish Kennel Club hosted the world's dog enthusiasts for the first time in 1998 within the framework of the World Dog Show. Back then, more than 16,500 dog entries were registered for the global event, exhibitors came with their dogs from 45 different countries, and the show was honored by about 60,000 visitors. After 16 years, the Kennel Club received the opportunity again to organize the World Dog Show. During the 3-day event, 116 international conformation judges from 31 different countries will evaluate the presented dogs in the rings, of which 30 judges will represent the Finnish Kennel Club.

The Venue of the World Exhibition will be the Exhibition and Conference Center in Helsinki. The Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Center is the largest facility of its kind in Finland. Thanks to its central location, it provides easy access for all participants. The Exhibition Center has 7 large exhibition halls and 40 conference rooms of various sizes. Every year, hundreds of events are held at the center, including meetings, seminars, and conferences. More than one million people participate in various events annually.

The Finnish Kennel Club was founded in 1889 and is the oldest dog organization in the Scandinavian region. The Club operates as an umbrella organization, comprising 1800 different dog clubs with a total of 150,000 members. The Kennel Club, as the largest dog organization, shares important information with member organizations, monitors relevant legislation, and provides representation in international organizations. The aim of the Finnish Kennel Club is to support the importance of purebred breeding with healthy dogs. In Finland, a total of 650,000 dogs live, of which 80% are purebred dogs. More than 300 breeds are registered, and each breed has its own breed club or association. The Club registers 50,000 dogs annually.
The Kennel Club Magazine, "Our Dogs," is Finland's largest dog magazine, published 10 times a year, attracting 380,000 readers with popular reports, exhibition reviews, and presentations of dog breeds and breeders.
The Kennel Club's headquarters are located near Brussels, supported by 40 employees handling administration. The turnover of the Kennel Club and its subsidiaries is €10,000,000 annually.
