Thanks to the Vasi Cynological Association, on June 8, 2019, 2 x CAC national dog shows will take place. The venue of the exhibition is in Szombathely at the Petőfi Sports Field (Halastó u.22).

The Vasi Cynological Association (formerly known as the MEOE Szombathely Organization) held its first dog show in 1968, followed by many more exhibitions over the years. Their Dog Training School also started operations in the same year. During this period, the Organization worked with an enthusiastic core team based on the principle of “Together – For Each Other.” In the well-functioning dog school of the Vasi Cynological Association, dogs and their owners learn together in various courses, such as obedience and guard-protection. They offer preparatory courses for working dog examinations and invite dogs aged between 3 and 8 months to puppy kindergarten.
Paying tribute to dog training and dog sports, a new dog sports center began operating in the city in autumn 2013. In addition to the traditionally established training programs, team sports such as flyball and agility were introduced at the sports center, focusing on agility and the harmonious relationship between the dog and its owner.
The leadership of the Association was renewed in 2012, and their future goals include promoting the unity of the dog-owning community. As stated by the President of the Association – “Let us set an example with collective thinking, empathy, and selfless, unconditional love for animals.” In light of these thoughts, all dog-loving owners and exhibitors are warmly welcome to the 2 x CAC dog show!

The entry fee for the first dog includes the price of one catalog! Entry fees for Hungarian dog breeds are calculated with a 50% discount.

The entry fee can be paid on the same page before starting the registration either by bank card or bank transfer. If you send payment by bank transfer, it is more efficient to pay the entry fee first, and then upload the email from the bank as proof of payment during the registration process.
After entering personal data and the data and document copies of the dog(s) to be registered (copy of the pedigree first and second page, copy of registration membership card, Champion or Working Test certificates if any, and proof of payment such as receipt of payment slip or bank transfer), it is possible to start the online registration. The registration will only be valid if the entry fee has also been settled!
In case of postal registration, after accurately filling out and signing the registration form, attach a copy of the pedigree of the dog to be registered, a copy of the paid cheque or transfer receipt as proof of payment, copies of Champion or Working Test certificates (if any), and a copy of the 2019 federation membership card.

Introducing the city of the dog exhibition, Szombathely
The venue of the 2-day CACIB & the evening CAC dog show is Szombathely (Latin name Savaria, also known as the “Queen of the West”), which is the oldest city in Hungary by foundation. Its population exceeds 80,000 people.
Walking through the streets of Szombathely we experience the blending of the Roman era and modern life, stepping from a world exuding millennia-old atmosphere into the present.
The city, rich in historical and cultural traditions, is characterized by dynamically growing tourism and the many festivals held here, such as the Savaria Dance Competition, International Bartók Festival, Savaria Carnival, as well as numerous international fairs.
Besides Szombathely’s rich sights and colorful event opportunities, the natural features and attractions of the surroundings are also excellent destinations for hikers. The city’s parks, the Historical Theme Park, the Boating Lake, the Lake Bath, the Vasi Open-Air Museum, and the Kámoni Arboretum are all popular excursion spots.
Among its natural sights, we must mention the Kámoni Arboretum located on the banks of the Gyöngyös stream, which is the country's largest 27-hectare botanical garden, featuring tree and shrub species from temperate and cold zones.
In the Kámoni Arboretum, alongside more than 1000 pine species, there are also 2000 deciduous tree species. The pride of the garden each year is the splendid Rhododendron bushes displaying 50 varieties, which make the garden most complete during their May bloom.
The Vasi Museum Village presents the peasant lifestyle of old times as well as folk architectural culture. The Museum Village opened its doors in 1973, and 43 buildings from 27 settlements have been successfully rebuilt on its grounds. The introduction of native Hungarian farm animals and regular tradition-preserving programs complete the life of the Museum Village.
