The Békéscsabai Youth and Sports Dog Association has been given the opportunity this year by the MEOE Federation to organize 2 x CACIB international dog shows. The 2 x CACIB dog shows will be held on August 6 and 7, 2016 in Békéscsaba, at the Csaba Park Event Center.
The former MEOE Békéscsaba Organization already held CAC dog shows in the early 1990s. The venue for the 1993 national show was the park of the Póstelek Castle, as shown on this old catalog cover.
From the early 2000s, the exhibition venue was moved to the City Sports Hall area. The year 2011 was a turning point, when the exhibition was again held in the Póstelek Castle Park. Similarly in 2014 and 2015.
As a teaser, we recommend this atmospheric video with pictures taken at the 2011 CAC show to our readers:

The city of the CAC dog show is Békéscsaba, which is the seat of Békés county and the 12th most populous city in our country, an important road and railway junction.
According to archaeologists, Békéscsaba was established in the first half of the 13th century. The settlement is mentioned for the first time in the papal tithe register of 1332-1337. During the Turkish era, the city resisted for a long time, first suffering damage during the Fifteen Years' War, and later during the 17th century. However, during the liberation wars against the Turks, it became completely depopulated. According to recent research, its population was not completely destroyed but fled. In 1703, the Serbs burned down the village, making it uninhabited again. In 1840, Békéscsaba attained the status of a market town. By 1858, the railway line reached the city, accelerating development with new houses and factories being built. The Great Economic Depression between the two world wars brought poverty and unemployment, and in 1925 a huge flood ravaged the city. From the 1960s onwards, planned industrialization began, with poultry processing and the printing industry also taking off. The city has now passed the low point and is currently developing.
Thanks to its parks, flower-adorned squares, and atmospheric promenades, Békéscsaba is among the most livable cities in the country. Thanks to its centuries-old buildings, events, and the natural values of the surrounding area, the city receives an increasing number of tourists every year.
One of the city's most charming parts is the Élővíz canal, which starts from the White Körös River and flows into the Double Körös. Along its banks lies the Széchenyi Park, where a new ecotourism visitor center awaits nature lovers in the "Music Pavilion" building erected in 1850.
Among Békéscsaba’s most beautiful historic buildings are the 19th-century Fiume Hotel, the Jókai Theatre, and the City Hall. The city's symbols are the Evangelical Great Church and the monument-like Evangelical Small Church built in 1745.
All year round, Békéscsaba offers high-quality gastronomic and cultural events for visitors. The Csabai Sausage Festival, held every October, has grown to become one of the country's most prestigious gastronomic events. The program series is complemented every year by cultural and entertainment events as well as pig-slaughtering events, but the true attraction is the sausage kneading, which is attended every time by a host of domestic celebrities. Among the city’s largest outdoor events are the Csaba Beer Festival and Knuckle Parade, as well as the Békéscsaba Lecsó Festival.
The venue for dog shows is Csaba Park, where the Békéscsaba Youth and Sports Dog Association warmly welcomes all interested parties, guests, exhibitors, and their dogs on the first weekend of August with a high-quality CAC dog show!
