The MEOE Federation announces an international 3 x CACIB dog show for all breeds in the city of Komárom, which will be held on June 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2019 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday).

The MEOE Association announces an international 3 x CACIB dog show for all breeds in the city of Komárom, which will be held on June 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2019 (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday). The venue is the famous architectural masterpiece, the Monostori Fortress area in Komárom.

The multi-day CACIB dog show held in Komárom each year is defined as one of the biggest dog events, attracting many exhibitors both domestically and internationally. This year, the exhibition series includes 6 CACIB dog shows, with 3 exhibitions in June and the other 3 in October.

The series gains even greater prestige from the fact that on the second (Tuesday) day of the three-day Komárom CACIB in June, the Crufts qualification can also be earned (in every breed, in both youth and adult categories, the most beautiful male and female qualify for the large-scale Crufts Dog Show, held next March).

Further updates on the 3 x CACIB Dog Show:

  • any young dog that wins the youth class on all three days, thus earning the HPJ title, automatically receives the Hungária Junior Champion title, meaning

          3 x HPJ = Hungária Junior Champion.

  • any adult dog that wins the class CAC title in its class on all three days automatically receives the Hungária Champion title, meaning

          3 x CAC = Hungária Champion.

  • any veteran dog that wins the CAC title in the veteran class on all three days automatically receives the Hungária Veteran Champion title, meaning

3 x Veteran CAC = Hungária Veteran Champion.

It will also be possible to request the Champion certificate on site. The price of the special Champion diploma is 12,000 HUF, regardless of whether the exhibitor requests it on site or at a later date.

The location of the dog show series is traditional, as for many years the famous architectural masterpiece, the Monostori Fortress area, has been hosting the event.

Introducing the city of the dog show, Komárom

The venue of the International Dog Shows is the city of Komárom, located on the eastern edge of the Little Hungarian Plain and on the right bank of the Danube, with a population close to 20,000. Komárom is a busy border town, as well as a cultural and tourist center; thanks to its excellent location, it was already a significant economic and strategic center of our small country in the past. The life of the area was centered around the Komárom fortification system. The Treaty of Trianon rearranged the city boundaries along with the country border changes. One half of the divided city is within the border of Hungary, while the other part is still in Slovakia.

Among the sights of Komárom, the most significant are the Reformed Church and the Roman Catholic Church located in the city center, the Turul statue, and the Komárom Spa, whose specialty is the mineral-rich medicinal water bubbling up from 1268 meters deep.

The western part of the city is famous for its natural beauty, and here is also the WF Leisure Park, which offers numerous recreational opportunities in a picturesque environment to visiting guests. The Leisure Park hosts outdoor concerts, festivals, all-day family programs, exhibitions, and competitions.

A significant tourist attraction of the city is the Komárom fortification system, whose Hungarian members are the Monostori Fortress, the Igmándi Fortress, and the Csillagerőd. The Klapka György Museum located in the Igmándi Fortress features permanent exhibitions, highlighted by the Roman Stone collection and exhibits presenting the history of the Hungarian Navy.

The Monostori Fortress – also the venue for the international dog show – is the largest modern fortress in Central Europe, built between 1850 and 1871. At the construction of the Monostori Fortress, the most advanced architectural techniques of the era were applied, but by the time it was completed, it had become militarily obsolete. Its military function has long ceased, and today it serves as a tourist attraction and a venue for various programs.

You can watch a more detailed history of the Komárom fortification system in the video below:

Come and visit, the organizers warmly welcome you!

The Hungarian Federation of National Dog Breeders' Associations cordially welcomes all interested parties, guests, and exhibitors with their dogs to Komárom at the Monostori Fortress on June 10th, 11th, and 12th, 2019 for 3 pleasant and high-quality CACIB exhibitions!
