At the first CAC dog show of July, we can participate thanks to the Ebtenyésztők Veszprém County Association. The CAC dog show will be held on July 3, 2016, in Herend at the beautiful Park Promenade area.

Dog owners and guests are welcomed by the Ebtenyésztők from 7:00 AM for the show. The opening of the show will take place at 9:30 AM, and judging will start at 10:00 AM. The Best In Show begins at 2:30 PM, with awards given similarly to last year.

Visitor programs during the exhibition:

The organizers of the exhibition did not only target the exhibitors but also offer diverse and special programs for families and guests visiting the show. From 12:00 PM, visitors can participate in dog demonstrations.

The hobby dog beauty contest starting at 1:00 PM promises to be an interesting program, where purebred dogs without pedigree or mixed breeds, as well as breeds not recognized by the FCI, can parade, with on-site registration possible. This contest is mainly for dogs living as family pets.

This year marks the fourth time the exhibition is held in Herend, supported again by the Herendi Porcelain Manufactory. Besides impressive trophies, the BIS winners receive fabulous porcelain plates offered by the Porcelain Manufactory as gifts.

The city of the dog show is Herend, which is 14 km from Veszprém, located at the meeting point of the Northern and Southern Bakony, on the banks of the Séd stream, in a basin surrounded by hills. According to the first records, the place was already inhabited in the form of smaller settlements from the early 1300s, but its population growth dates back to the 1700s, as confirmed by the historical finds found here. At that time, the inhabitants lived from agriculture, viticulture, and logging.

In the 1820s, the ceramic factory was established in Herend under the organization of Vince Stingl, whose boom is dated to the 20th century. From the mid-1900s, in the post-war period, production increased significantly in the porcelain factory, thus the settlement began to develop significantly thanks to its world-famous hand-painted porcelain, and by the end of this century, Herend porcelain had become known almost worldwide.

The settlement, also known as the "porcelain city," has grown into Europe's largest porcelain manufactory. The fabulous hand-painted Herend porcelain is a Hungarikum, part of Hungarian heritage. The Herend Porcelain Art Museum welcomes more than 100,000 visitors annually.

In the Porcelanium, which is part of the collection, visitors can look behind the scenes and get to know the workshop secrets of porcelain making. The fabulous porcelains were originally commissioned for aristocratic castles, fortresses, and mansions. Each year, as part of a traveling exhibition, enthusiasts can enjoy the beauty of porcelain in its original environment in the renovated domestic aristocratic castles.

The national dog show in Herend is held in the wooded-park promenade area, where everyone interested, guests, exhibitors with their dogs are warmly welcomed by the Ebtenyésztők Veszprém Megyei Közhasznú Egyesülete with a high-quality CAC dog show!
