The CAC dog exhibition city is Tiszafüred, a Tisza riverside town located on the edge of Hortobágy, in the heart of the Northern Great Plain region. Tiszafüred is the largest settlement and also the tourism center of the Tisza Lake region, which is why the city is often referred to as the "capital of Tisza Lake".

The history of Tiszafüred according to contemporary archaeological finds goes back to 4500 BC. The first finds also testify to this. Later, archaeologists found valuable artifacts from the time of state foundation during excavations on the outskirts of Tiszafüred, including a settlement and a related cemetery from the Árpád era.
The settlement was first mentioned as Tiszafüred in 1273. Between the 1500s and 1700s, the town was abandoned five times. From the end of the 18th century, it served as a significant market town for more than a century. From 1833 it began significant development, a bridge was built over the Tisza and the road network started to be established. In 1849, Tiszafüred briefly became the seat of Heves and Outer-Szolnok counties. The rapid development was ended by World War I, when the town also lost its market town status. Socialist industrialization had a beneficial effect on the stalled settlement, with a ship and crane factory, as well as an aluminum factory and pharmaceutical packaging plant established in Tiszafüred. Due to the growing population and territorial expansion, it was declared a city in 1984. By the early 2000s, after the factories closed, the settlement’s economy collapsed. Nowadays, Tiszafüred is gradually transforming from a former industrial town into a tourism-service center. Its tourist appeal is enhanced by a rich program offer and the country’s first floodplain adventure park.

Among the sights of Tiszafüred, we must mention the Kiss Pál Museum, founded in 1877, which has a rich local history and folklore collection, and which is housed in the classicist-style Lipcsey manor and has operated here since 1953.
Another monument of the town is the Nyúzó Gáspár Potter’s Folk House, built in the second half of the 19th century, where those interested in folk art can learn about the famous pottery tradition of Füred. The Folk House also functions as a museum; its permanent exhibition in the classicist-style residence of potter master Nyúzó Gáspár presents the working and living conditions of potters with original furnishings and works.
There are two churches in the town. The Reformed Church is a monument-style Baroque building with a 6-story gallery tower. Next to the church is a classicist-style rectory. The Roman Catholic Church, also built in classicist style between 1819 and 1827, was consecrated in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, with some altarpieces created in the mid-19th century.

Among Tiszafüred’s beautiful sights is the Kemény Castle, built in 1920 in neo-Baroque style, furnished with period furniture, and located on the grounds of the Tiszafüred Castle Park as property of the Hortobágy National Park. The castle operates today as a guesthouse and is not open to the public. The castle park, protected since 1980, is beautified by poplars, maples, junipers, and thuja trees lining the road leading to the castle. This wonderful castle park also serves as the exact location of the annual CAC dog show.

Among the natural sights, we must mention the Tisza Lake Bird Reserve, which is the nesting and breeding place for migratory birds and part of the Hortobágy National Park. One of the reserve’s most valuable habitats is the heron colony. In the willow and poplar groves, goshawks and black storks nest, and cranes, white-tailed eagles, and mute swans regularly pass through the area. The Tisza Lake Bird Reserve is a strictly protected natural treasure, included among internationally recognized waterbird habitats. The countless beauties of the Tisza Lake reveal their hidden treasures especially to those who wish to explore it by some type of watercraft.

The Tisza Lake area around Tiszafüred has been protected since the establishment of the Hortobágy National Park, and more than half of the approximately 7000 hectares of land serves eco-tourism purposes. The city and its surroundings are a favorite place for guests seeking a quiet natural environment. Visitors have the opportunity to ride horses, take part in horse tours, and join cycling tours along the Tisza. Those who admire this landscape surely fall in love with it and return year after year.

All interested parties, guests, and exhibitors with their dogs are warmly welcomed by the Füredi Dog Breeders Association at a well-organized CAC dog show on the first summer weekend of June.

Below we would like to inform guests and families planning to attend the exhibition about the parking and admission fees:
The amount of the parking and admission fee is always determined by the Dog Breeder Association organizing the given dog show, so we cannot precisely predict its numerical value in advance, only an estimated amount.
The parking fee can range between 1000.- HUF and even 4000.- HUF (depending on the city where the exhibition is held).
The admission fee varies, it can range from 500.- HUF to 2000.- HUF per person, but in most cases, children and pensioners either do not pay at all or enjoy greater discounts.
