The MEOE Association will hold the Champion of Champions dog show on January 9, 2016. The venue of the show is the Hungexpo Event and Leisure Center “B” pavilion in Budapest. The judging starts at 2:30 pm.

At the Champion of Champions show, dogs aged 15 months or older that are owned abroad and have foreign registration numbers will have the opportunity to earn the Hungarian Champion (HCH) title. If these dogs achieve the breed winner (BOB) or best opposite sex (BOS) title at the Champion show, they can also receive the Hungarian Champion title. The champion title can be applied for in person at the show or later by mail, with a fee of 40 Euro. Certificates will always be sent by mail, while the trophies related to them can also be collected on site.

Procedure of judging:

Judges will shortlist a maximum of four dogs per breed and sex, then select the best male and best female of each sex, who will receive the title Champion of Champions of the year. The best males and best females will compete for the BOB and BOS titles.
Following this, the breed winner (BOB) dogs will be compared again directly after the complete breed group judging finishes, in the ring of the respective breeds. In this breed group judging, the judge does not give placements, only selects a predetermined number of dogs from each breed group for the “duel” style Best in Show program as follows:

I. Breed group: 3 dogs
II. Breed group: 4 dogs
III. Breed group: 2 dogs
IV. Breed group: 2 dogs
V. Breed group: 2 dogs
VI. Breed group: 2 dogs
VII. Breed group: 2 dogs
VIII. Breed group: 2 dogs
IX. Breed group: 3 dogs
X. Breed group: 2 dogs

The Best In Show program starts at 7:00 pm, with the program arranged as follows:

The 24 dogs chosen from the breed groups will be evaluated by 5 conformation judges in Best in Show, who will first narrow down to 12 dogs, then to 6 dogs, and finally select the top 3 dogs.

In the final decision, the 3 remaining dogs are scored independently by the 5 judges, with 3 points for 1st place, 2 points for 2nd place, and 1 point for 3rd place. The dog with the highest total points wins the competition. In case of a tie, the 5 judges decide by majority vote.
