In our experience, there are quite a few dog-loving families who are not aware of important health issues and problems affecting their dogs. Based on this fact, on our pages we would like to draw the attention of loving dog owners and families to these very important health problems with the involvement of veterinary experts. We do this by presenting and analyzing various dog diseases, as well as providing useful and valuable advice to help dog-loving families navigate different health topics. Our series is published monthly, each time covering an important and current health topic.

With 20 years of history, the Nyíregyháza Teaching Animal Hospital, led by Dr. György Pelle, clinical small animal physician and specialist veterinarian, is the largest and most modern Animal Hospital in the Szabolcs-Szatmár-Bereg County region, which operates 24/7, with on-call service from 8:00 PM onwards, waiting for sick and animals needing treatment.
Since 2010, under the leadership of hospital director Dr. György Pelle, the Animal Hospital has operated a modern reproductive biology center and Gene Bank under the name Clone Hungary. The work of the reproductive biology center expands the world for breeders, providing them the opportunity to collect, cool, and freeze sperm for storage. The sperm stored using this freezing technology can later be used for multiple purposes; breeders can export it to foreign countries or, alternatively, import frozen sperm from foreign stud dogs.
Since 2011, the Nyíregyháza Animal Hospital has also operated as a Teaching Animal Hospital of Szent István University, actively participating in the practical training of final-year veterinary students.
Thanks to continuous developments, the Animal Hospital is one of the most advanced in veterinary medicine, applying numerous new techniques in treatment. At the Nyíregyháza Teaching Animal Hospital, small animals can recover under the care of a kind, helpful, and knowledgeable veterinarian team along with veterinary assistants. In 2013, based on owners’ votes, the team of the Nyíregyháza Teaching Animal Hospital won the “Veterinarians of Favorites Award 2013” announced by Bayer Hungária Kft.
