In the hottest month of the hot summer, on July 11, 2015, thanks to the MEOE Szombathely Independent Organization, the Evening CAC National Dog Show in Szombathely is being held for the second time. The specific venue of the Evening CAC exhibition is the Arboretum Sports Center. The exhibition start time is 18:00.
The MEOE Szombathely Organization held its first dog show in 1968, followed by many more shows over the years. Their Dog Training School also began operating in the same year. At that time, the Association worked with an enthusiastic core team implementing the principle of “Together – For Each Other.”
The Association operated for a long time as a member Organization of MEOE, then a few years ago, in 2000, it became an independent organization, like many other MEOE member Associations.
In the well-functioning dog school of the MEOE Szombathely Independent Organization, dogs and their owners learn together in various courses, such as obedience and guard-protection courses, as well as preparation for work exams. Furthermore, doggy kindergarten welcomes dogs and their owners aged between 3 and 8 months.
Paying tribute to dog training and dog sport, a new dog sport center started operating in the city in September 2013. In the sports center, in addition to the already traditional trainings, team sports such as flyball and agility have been introduced, which are based on agility and the harmonious relationship between dog and owner.
The leadership of the Association was renewed in 2012, and among their future goals is to promote the cohesion of the dog-owner community. As can be read from the words of the Association’s President – “Let us set an example together through thinking together, empathy, selfless, and unconditional love for animals.” In light of these thoughts, all dog-loving owners and exhibitors are invited to the evening CAC dog show for a great time together with their dogs.

The venue of the Evening CAC national dog show is Szombathely, Latin name Savaria, which is Hungary’s oldest founded city and is also often called the Queen of the West. Its population is over 80,000.
Walking through the streets of Szombathely, we can experience the fusion of the Roman era and today’s modern life, crossing over from a world radiating millennia-old atmosphere into the present.
The city, rich in historical and cultural traditions, is characterized by dynamically developing tourism and numerous festivals held in the city, such as the Savaria dance competition, International Bartók Festival, Savaria carnival, as well as many international fairs.
Besides Szombathely’s rich sights and colorful program opportunities, the natural characteristics and landmarks of the surroundings are also excellent destinations for hikers.
The city’s parks, the Historical Theme Park, the Boating Lake, the Bathing Lake, the Vasi Open-Air Museum Village, and the Kámon Arboretum are also popular excursion sites.
Among its natural sights, we must mention the Kámoni Arboretum located on the banks of the Gyöngyös stream, which is the largest botanical garden in the country, covering 27 hectares, and contains tree and shrub species from temperate and cold zones.
In the Kámoni Arboretum, besides more than 1000 species of pine trees, 2000 species of deciduous trees also live. Every year, the pride of the garden is the magnificent Rhododendron bushes showcasing 50 varieties, which make the garden most complete during their May flowering.
The Vasi Open-Air Museum Village presents the peasant lifestyle of old times, as well as folk architectural culture. The Museum Village opened its doors in 1973, and 43 buildings from 27 settlements have been successfully rebuilt on its grounds. The introduction of indigenous Hungarian domestic animals and regular tradition-preserving programs complete the life of the Museum Village.
This year's evening CAC dog show welcomes dog owners at a new location, in the green area of the Arboretum Sports Center. The evening CAC national dog show also warmly welcomes all interested parties and guests to Szombathely in the hottest month of the hot summer, organized by the MEOE Szombathely Independent Association!
Below we would like to inform guests and families planning to attend the show about the extent of parking and entrance fees:
The parking and entrance fees are always determined by the Dog Breeders' Association organizing the respective dog show, so we cannot accurately predict the exact numerical value in advance, only an estimated amount.
The parking fee may range between 1000.- Ft and even 4000.- Ft (depending on the city where the show is held).
The entrance fee varies, ranging from 500.- Ft to 2000.- Ft per person, but in most cases, children and pensioners either do not pay at all or enjoy a larger discount.
