In the last month of the summer season, on August 10, 2014, we can participate in the II. Velence Lake CAC national dog show organized and hosted by the MEOE Székesfehérvár Independent Legal Entity Organization. The venue of the CAC dog show is the Velence Rowing Track area.
The organizing organization, the MEOESZ Székesfehérvár Independent Legal Entity Organization, having passed the year 2000, has won the right to organize dog shows from the Hungarian National Federation of Dog Breeders almost every year. In 2008 and 2010 the Association was able to hold a CAC show, while in 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, and 2012 it won the right to organize 2 x CACIB international shows. In 2013 they doubled, as after the 2 x CACIB shows held in the Bregyó Camping area of Székesfehérvár, the Organization also organized and conducted the Velence Lake CAC national dog show one month later. This year the Organization again received the opportunity from the Hungarian National Federation of Dog Breeders to organize both shows.
Programs during the exhibition:
Dog owners and guests are expected at the exhibition from 7:00 AM by the Dog Breeders.
From 9:00 AM in the morning there is possibility to enter on-site for the Ebugatta competitions.
The exhibition opening will take place at 10:00 AM.
An interesting program promises to be the hobby dog beauty contest, in which purebred dogs without pedigree as well as mixed breed dogs can participate and for which registration can also be made on-site. This contest mainly attracts dogs living as family pets.
The hobby dogs’ contest starts at 10:15 AM, while the mixed breed dogs’ contest starts at 11:15 AM.
Around lunch, from 12:15 PM the water programs, swimming, and paddling competitions will take place in Velence Lake.
From 2:00 PM, before Best In Show, the special Ebugatta competition for exhibitors begins. One part of Velence Lake provides all-day fishing and bathing opportunities for the dogs participating in the show, their owners, as well as visitors.
The “water” dog show will be held for the 2nd time this year, since this show was first organized last year thanks to the MEOE Székesfehérvár Independent Legal Entity Association. At that time, this “water” show was still a big novelty, so attendance was somewhat below expectations. That is why this year the Dog Breeders are welcoming dog owners and visiting guests to the shore of Velence Lake for a charming “water” dog show with even more programs and entertainment options and much love.

A video recording of the BIS program of the 2013 I. Velence Lake CAC dog show by Ebugatta television can be viewed:
The city of the II. Velence Lake National Dog Show is Velence, which is one of Hungary's popular holiday resorts as the gateway to Lake Velence, the resort town of the country's second largest lake.
Velence held special importance even in Roman times, as it was an important settlement on the military road between Savaria and Aquincum. It probably got its name in the Middle Ages from Italian city builders.
Among the sights of Velence, we must mention the nearly three and a half century old Reformed Church, which preserves relics of the past, and the 200-year-old Catholic Church named after Saint Stephen, built in classical style.
A major cultural event in Velence in the summer is the Velence Summer Evenings series of events, during which popular musical performances, brass band and majorette shows can be enjoyed by those seeking relaxation. In addition, St. John's Day in June and St. Stephen's Day in August also promise to be great events.
Velence is also referred to as the "flower city" because the city’s leadership and inhabitants do a lot to decorate the city with plants and flowers to create a cultured, healthy environment. The greening initiative in Velence began in 1996, with over 50,000 flower seedlings planted annually in parks, along roads, and in public spaces. In 2000, the city of Velence was awarded the title of the most flower-rich settlement in the country, and in 2001 it received a silver medal in the Europe in Bloom competition. Since then, the collection of trophies of those greening the city grows every year with new recognitions. As acknowledgment of the achievements in greening, the city also received its "own" rose variety: a rose breeder named a new variety after Velence.
Velence – according to its slogan, the "flower city" – does a lot to deserve the title bestowed by its inhabitants, celebrating the arrival of the youngest every year by planting new rose bushes. In 2003, as the only initiative in the country, they established the Babies’ Rose Garden, where a rose bush is planted for every newborn in the settlement by their parents.
The garden has now almost grown into a grove, with more than five hundred rose bushes and nameplates marking the growth of Velence’s population.
A very beautiful tradition is intertwined with the “flower city,” which is the “Rose of Velence” award, established in 2001 and given annually to those who do a lot for the settlement throughout the year.
The town encircling the northeastern end of Lake Velence, blessed with a wonderful natural environment, offers many sights to visitors. Lake Velence provides numerous excellent opportunities for water sports, offering water skiing, surfing, and rowing options for water sports enthusiasts, and also great opportunities for anglers to indulge in their favorite sport.
Lovers of nature can take fabulous walks to Bence Hill, from which they can enjoy a wonderful view. The panorama of Lake Velence and the surrounding settlements provides a breathtaking sight.
Below we would like to inform guests and families intending to attend the exhibition about the parking and entry fees:
The parking and entry fees are always determined by the Dog Breeders’ Association organizing the given dog show, so we cannot state the exact numerical value in advance, only an estimated amount.
The parking fee can range between 1000.- HUF and even 4000.- HUF (depending on which city the exhibition is held in).
The entry fee is variable, ranging from 500.- HUF up to 2000.- HUF per person, but in most cases children and pensioners either do not pay at all or enjoy a significant discount.
The actual venue of the exhibition is the Velence Rowing Track area, where the MEOESZ Székesfehérvár Independent Organization warmly welcomes all interested parties, guests, and exhibitors with their dogs on the 10th day of the last month of summer with a high-quality “water” dog show.
