The MEOE Federation, further expanding its animal protection activities, announces a Neutering Support Program starting from June 1, 2017.
The Importance of Neutering
A cornerstone of animal protection – however, still an area not supported with financial resources – is neutering, which is actually one of the most effective ways to avoid reproductive organ diseases.
The aim of the support program
The goal of the MEOESZ Support Program is to reduce the costs incurred during the neutering of female purebred dogs introduced or registered in the domestic FCI studbook for their owners and/or breeders, thereby promoting the willingness for neutering in justified cases.
Neutering is a relatively high one-time expense procedure, which would definitely be justified, for example, for purebred dogs sold/purchased for hobby purposes. The Program initiated by MEOESZ serves to support the costs of this procedure.
Who and how can apply for the support
The support can be applied for by any person with a Hungarian address who can prove the fulfillment of the following conditions with the indicated documents. Neither a federation card nor membership in a federation member organization is required for the support. Persons with kennel names can also participate in the support program, but with a partly different support structure. For them, no cash support is provided, but they receive service fee discounts up to the amounts specified below on the registration services they request from the MEOE Federation.
The support can be applied for by a person whose female dog registered or recognized in the MEOE Federation FCI studbook has been neutered, and who proves this fact with a veterinarian’s statement and a copy of the invoice.
Support cannot be requested for female dogs with an FCI studbook issued abroad and not recognized by MEOESZ, or those without studbooks, or dogs without an FCI studbook. The data based on pedigree certificates previously lawfully countersigned by ETsz are introduced into the MEOESZ studbook, and support can be claimed with these as well. The age of the female dog is not set as a condition by MEOESZ.
The amount and payment of support
The MEOE Federation Support Program covers 50% of the neutering cost certified by an invoice issued by the veterinarian performing it, but
- up to HUF 10,000 for small-sized females
- up to HUF 15,000 for medium-sized females
- up to HUF 20,000 for large-sized females
as the support amount.
The support amount is transferred by the MEOE Federation to the domestic bank account provided for this purpose by the applicant after checking the support request and its annexes and establishing compliance with the Program announcement; for persons with kennel names, it is granted as a service fee discount. Transfers take place monthly.
Submitting an application under the Support Program
The application must be sent by post or delivered in person to the following address:
MEOE Federation

Documents to be attached to the application:

Incomplete application or the absence of any other attachments results in the non-fulfillment of the support application, no supplementary procedure will be conducted. Therefore, please pay special attention to accurate completion and attaching the requested original documents in full!
Other conditions
The Support Program has been continuously effective since June 1, 2017 and remains valid for the year 2018 by the decision of MEOESZ. The Board of the MEOE Federation will continuously evaluate the Program's experiences and will decide on its continuation based on that in the future.
On the pedigree of the bitch for which support is requested, the fact of being “neutered” will be indicated even without a separate request, so for this bitch, naturally, litters born after the date of neutering will no longer be registered in the future.
If the application and attachments fully comply with the above conditions, the applicant will receive the support amount or fee discount without further consideration. However, the MEOE Federation reserves the right to refuse the provision of support if there is suspicion of misuse of the support’s purpose or conditions based on the submitted documents or other circumstances of the application.
Please, every responsible animal owner share this so that as many dog owners as possible can be informed about the Neutering Support Program launched by the Hungarian National Federation of Dog Breeders’ Associations! Thank you very much!
