The Youth and Sport Dog Association of Békéscsaba (former MEOE Békéscsaba Organization) won the right last year to organize a national CAC dog show from the Hungarian Federation of National Dog Breeders Associations. The CAC dog show will be held on April 05, 2014, in Békéscsaba, at the Póstelek Castle Park.

The former MEOE Békéscaba Organization already organized CAC dog shows in the early 1990s. The venue of the 1993 national show was also the Póstelek Castle park, which can be seen from this old catalog cover.

From the early 2000s, the venue of the show moved to the City Sports Hall area. The year 2011 was a turning point when the show was again held at the Póstelek Castle Park.

The Békéscsaba Youth and Sporting Dog Association has chosen the venue for the national CAC exhibition – as it did in 2011 – the park of the Póstelek Castle. The 15-hectare historic garden is considered one of the most beautiful parks in Békés County, with dominant trees being ash and oak. The neo-baroque Castle was built at the beginning of the 1900s. The owner of the castle was the Wenckheim family, who fled the castle due to later political circumstances, leaving it prey to looters. Today, the Castle is in a ruined condition and, along with the park, requires renovation. Thanks to the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development, the renovation of the Castle and its park may begin as early as this year.
