On the night before Christmas at the Rainbow Bridge
WE, departed pets always think of our beloved owners.
We see that without us the holidays are not as bright
and we hear when you wish we were still with you.
We know that when you think of us at Christmas
your heart aches even more
and you would rather not get out of bed,
because you miss us so much.
But WE, little pets, live no less here on the other side,
if only you could see, you would no longer cry but laugh.
All the dogs pull the sleigh in harness,
All the cats show the way ahead wearing Santa hats.
Although the night darkness and snow rule the Earth,
the little birds fly home above the Rainbow,
every little pet for whom someone has ever cried,
all fly home to be by their owner's side at Christmas.
If you have no animal beside you and feel an animal hair land on your hand,
if you hear a soft bark or purr, it is a ghostly sound,
through which we try to send you the message that we visited you
and that through the Rainbow we will come back to you again sometime.
At Christmas we have to do something very special…
The dogs, the cats, the winged friends and the other little animals,
arrive to you in a sleigh in a happy dream, to share
with you that immeasurable love you have devoted to us over the years.
We arrive, see the beloved home, the path where we often
played, memories come to mind that the two of us
experienced together, but our earthly life was too short and
on this Christmas Eve there is still so much to do for us.
On this night, while you sleep in your bed,
your little pet dances in your thoughts as a sweet vision.
It is a special night because we BRING HOME for a while,
to your true home, HEAVEN, where you will be able to smile again.
On this night you will fly for a short time above the rainbow,
hours during which you will be happy, hours during which you will feel good,
hours during which you will hug us, and we will happily run and play together again,
before you return to Earth through our magical Rainbow Bridge.
And when you wake up on Christmas morning, we will pray
that you remember this magical night journey,
but if you forget, remember our love, remember that
WE see you, WE, your angels from above.
We send Love wrapped in a rainbow, sparkling and shining,
Love that leads you through the darkest night,
Love whose spark rests all year in people's memory
and is just waiting to turn dark sorrow into Christmas mood.
WE, rainbow children, bring you dreams and sweet
visits to remind you that not everything is as it seems,
if you look with tired earthly eyes. But if you look as WE do,
you will experience much joy and surprise.
There are furry angels who are no more
than a thought and wherever you go,
you can know that they will always be with you,
so you will never be alone.
WE are not alone beyond the Rainbow Bridge, our friends are here,
where there is only joy and the cheerfulness never ends,
and after meeting you, on Christmas Eve
you would not believe that WE, the rainbow children will celebrate.
But do not be sad, because often we will fly to you,
to sit on your shoulder watching you with wide open eyes and take care of you.
And maybe you will be able to take a glance at us, but
regardless of whether you see us or not
