In our first story, we learn about a world-famous rock singer's intention to help animals and her love for dogs.
Chrissie Hynde, the lead singer and leader of the rock band "Pretenders," is a vegetarian and an animal rights activist. As an activist, the singer supports the American PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals), as well as the British VIVA (Vegetarians’ International Voice for Animals) animal protection organizations. As a vegetarian and VIVA activist, Chrissie keeps the interests of animals in mind, raising her voice against abuses towards farm animals. Even in her first solo album — which she made in spring 2014 in Stockholm — her commitment to animals is reflected.
“A wonderful video clip was made for the song, which heartwarmingly conveys the most beautiful emotions and feelings, precisely so that we all celebrate the love that unites and connects people and dogs,” emphasized the singer.
An amazing video clip was made for Chrissie Hynde's song “You or No One,” whose director, Steve Glashier, highlights that beyond the song's message and Chrissie's hypnotically mesmerizing voice, the video's additional appeal is the shooting location, the wonderful Spanish landscape, which is truly captivating and breathtakingly beautiful.
The story’s two defining features: the characters reflecting mutual love and the strikingly impressive scenery.
The very spectacular environment, located in Spain, specifically in Navarra, is the “Bardenas” National Park, which is part of the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and is a protected area. The “Bardenas” is a semi-desert barren natural area covering about 42,000 hectares south of Navarra.
Over centuries, its surface has been shaped by the combined work of water and wind, creating the eroded canyons, plateaus, isolated mountains, and buttes made of gypsum, clay, and sandstone visible today. The “Bardenas” National Park is famous for its rich wildlife; it provides habitat for nesting birds, reptiles, amphibians, various fish species, snails, and crabs. More than 100 different species of nesting birds live here. On the European continent, this area is the richest in nesting steppe raptor species.
The “Bardenas” is a barren area, where vegetation can only occasionally take root, rocky mountain peaks are replaced by plateaus, then deep ravines, among which many small streams trickle. That wonderful place hides the rarely seen beauty of nature by the human eye.
Another defining element of the clip is the main characters, Ismael Loperena, the painter, and Jagger, his Chow-Chow dog (who is beautiful – ed.). The message of the song builds on the mutual love between a human and a dog.

The music video combining the fantastically beautiful message with wonderful visuals debuted on the internet, as the animal protection organization PETA is committed to all people who love dogs.
According to the singer herself, the inspiration for writing the song was one of her favorite films, the movie “Bonbon, the dog” directed by Carlos Sorin.
