The Baranya County Police Headquarters has developed a special method using a dog to help children become familiar with basic traffic rules already in kindergarten and lower primary school.
Taking advantage of the abilities of a dog named Mancs, who is extremely intelligent, they made frisbees from traffic signs, which Mancs catches after the children provide the correct answer.
One of the most important rules from the children's perspective is to cross pedestrian crossings safely. In the demonstration, the police officer, with the help of the dog Mancs, represents how to cross the road correctly, then dog paw prints are painted on the sidewalk near the pedestrian crossings close to institutions, to remind the children of what they learned from Mancs.
