Hugó, Hédi, Luxi, Gina, Fánika, Bogyó, and the others
On Monday, October 13, 2014, in the early afternoon, at the elegant bar of the five-star Le Méridien Budapest Hotel, accompanied by a cozy afternoon tea, the newest book by Ágnes Vágó: Dog Horoscope was presented – under extraordinary circumstances.
At the presentation, the dogs featured in the book were present – naturally together with their star owners. At the book launch, filled with the sound of barking dogs, it was mentioned, among other things, that this is not the first time the author has had “dogs as” interview subjects.
The book, which is available from the day of the press launch in larger bookstores, pet food and equipment stores, at events dealing with dogs, and other venues, is published by Professional Publishing Hungary Ltd., Hungary’s largest trade magazine publisher. The head of the publisher, Ágnes Vándor, stated at the book launch that this is the publisher’s first such colorful publication aimed exclusively at the general public.
The stars featured in the book are: singer Klári Balázs’s dog Fánika, presenter Éva Barabás’s dog Hugó, chef Péter Buday’s dog Hédi, actress Niki Gallusz’s dog Bogyó, rapper Zolee Ganxsta’s dogs Donna and Leonja, restaurant owner Annoni Gianni’s dog Pamacs, handball player Anita Görbicz's dog Yoda, presenter Róbert Kárász’s dog Molly, media star Kristóf Steiner’s dog Özge, singer Renáta Tolvai’s dog Luxi, pentathlete Zsuzsanna Vörös’s dog Gina, and organist Xavér Varnus’s dog named Kiskutya 2.
An important element in the book is when the mentioned stars’ dogs were born, as their zodiac sign and its characteristics also play a crucial role in the book: if the reader compares what is described there with their own pet’s birth time, based on the zodiac sign and significant star positions, they can learn many interesting things about their four-legged companion.
The newly published general audience book was created entirely by the publisher’s team: not only responsible for the publication and distribution, but the creative work was also done by their own artistic group.
The beautifully lovable design is the work of Zsuzsanna Szabó.
The book was not created solely for business purposes, but also undertakes a kind of good deed by donating every single sold copy to support dogs with difficult fates at the Noé Animal Shelter Foundation.
The book is available for purchase on the Dog Horoscope website.
