The MEOE Association will hold the Champion of Champions exhibition on December 1, 2018. The venue of the exhibition is Hungexpo Event and Leisure Center “G” pavilion in Budapest. The judging starts at 14:30 in the afternoon.
At the Champion of Champions exhibition, dogs aged 15 months and older with foreign ownership and foreign registration numbers will have the opportunity to obtain the Hungarian Champion (HCH) title. If these dogs achieve the breed winner (BOB) or the best opposite sex (BOS) title at the Champion exhibition, they may also be awarded the Hungarian Champion title. The Champion title can be applied for in person at the exhibition or later by mail, with a fee of 40 Euro. Certificates will always be sent by post, while the trophies associated with them can be collected on site.
The procedure of the judging:
Judges will list up to four dogs per breed and sex, then select the best male and best female by sex, who will be awarded the Champion of Champions title of the year. The BOB and BOS titles will be competed for by the best males and best females.
Subsequently, the breed winner (BOB) dogs will be compared again directly after the evaluation of the complete breed group in the rings of the given breeds. In this breed group judging, the judge does not issue placements, but selects a specified number of dogs per breed group for the “duel” system Best in Show program as follows:
I. Breed group: 3 dogs
II. Breed group: 4 dogs
III. Breed group: 2 dogs
IV. Breed group: 2 dogs
V. Breed group: 2 dogs
VI. Breed group: 2 dogs
VII. Breed group: 2 dogs
VIII. Breed group: 2 dogs
IX. Breed group: 3 dogs
X. Breed group: 2 dogs
The Best In Show will take place at 19:00 in the evening, with the program unfolding as follows:
The 24 dogs selected from the breed groups will be reduced first to 12, then to 6 by the 5 appearance judges officiating in the Best in Show, and finally the top 3 most beautiful dogs will be selected.
The final 3 dogs remaining will be scored independently by the 5 judges. The 1st place dog receives 3 points, the 2nd place dog receives 2 points, and the 3rd place dog receives 1 point. The dog with the most points wins the competition. In the event of a tie, the 5 judges will decide by majority vote.
