The Békéscsaba Youth and Sports Dog Association has been given the opportunity by the MEOE Federation to organize 2 x CAC dog shows this year. The 2 x CAC dog shows will be held on April 01 and 02, 2017, in Békéscsaba, at the Póstelek Castle Park.
The former MEOE Békéscsaba Organization already held CAC dog shows in the early 1990s. The venue of the 1993 national show was also the Póstelek Castle Park, as can be seen from the cover of this old catalog.
From the early 2000s, the venue of the show was moved to the City Sports Hall area. The year 2011 was a turning point when the show was once again held at the Póstelek Castle Park.
As an appetizer, we recommend to our readers this atmospheric video with pictures taken at the 2011 CAC show:

The city of the CAC dog show is Békéscsaba, the seat of Békés county and the 12th most populous city in our country, an important road and rail junction.
According to archaeologists, Békéscsaba was established in the first half of the 13th century. The settlement is first mentioned in the papal tithe register of 1332-1337. During the Turkish era, the city resisted for a long time, first suffering damage during the Fifteen Years' War, and later throughout the 17th century. However, during the liberation wars against the Turks, it became completely depopulated. According to recent research, its population did not perish entirely but fled. In 1703, the Serbs burned the village, causing it to become depopulated again. In 1840, Békéscsaba received the status of a market town. By 1858, the railway reached the city, accelerating development, with new houses and factories being built. The great economic depression between the two world wars brought poverty and unemployment, and in 1925 a massive flood also devastated the city. From the 1960s onwards, systematic industrialization began, with growth in poultry processing and the printing industry. The city has now passed its low point and is continuing to develop.
Thanks to its parks, flower-adorned squares, and atmospheric promenades, Békéscsaba is among the most livable cities in the country. Every year, more and more tourists visit the city due to its centuries-old buildings, events, and the natural values of the surrounding area.
One of the most atmospheric parts of the city is the Élővíz canal, which starts from the Fehér-Körös River and flows into the Kettős-Körös. On its bank lies Széchenyi park, where a new ecotourism visitor center awaits nature lovers in the building of the "Music Pavilion" constructed in 1850.
Among Békéscsaba’s most beautiful historic buildings are the 19th-century Fiume Hotel, the Jókai Theater, and the Town Hall. The city’s symbols are the Lutheran Great Church and the monument-type Lutheran Small Church built in 1745.
Throughout the year, Békéscsaba offers high-quality gastronomic and cultural events to visitors. The Csabai Sausage Festival, held every October, has grown into one of the country’s most prestigious gastronomic events. The series of programs is annually complemented by cultural and entertainment events and pig slaughtering ceremonies, but the real attraction remains the sausage making, which is attended every time by a whole host of national celebrities. The city’s largest outdoor events also include the Csabai Beer Festival and Knuckle Parade, and the Békéscsaba Lecso Festival.
The venue for dog shows is the Póstelek Castle Park, where the Békéscsaba Youth and Sports Dog Association warmly welcomes every visitor, guest, exhibitor, and their dogs with two high-standard CAC dog shows on the first two days of April!
